Tiger Shroff starts shooting for Karan Johar's Student Of The Year 2

Fresh from the earth-shattering success of his recent release Baaghi 2, action star Tiger Shroff has started filming for his upcoming movie Student Of The Year 2. Produced by Dharma Productions, Student Of The Year 2 is a sequel to Karan Johar's 2012 blockbuster Student Of The Year. The second instalment is being helmed by Puneet Malhotra who has to his credit films like I Hate Luv Stories and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein.

SOTY 2 mounted the shooting floor today after the mahurat pooja. Dharma Productions revealed the news on their official Twitter handle. STUDENT OF THE YEAR 2 - DAY #1 on set. Today, director @punitdmalhotra and his team begin their journey at Saint Teresa’s with @iTIGERSHROFF & the girls. Give us a ? in the comments to wish them luck!

After launching the career of Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt with Student Of The Year, Karan Johar is set to launch two new female faces with Student Of The Year 2. Speculations are rife that Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria have been finalized to play female parts in the sequel. Karan has tweeted that he will reveal the final cast of his production on 11th April.

Student Of The Year 2 is scheduled for its theatrical release on 23rd November 2018.

A song inspired by displacement and resilience

Days before the release of Main Vaapas Aaunga, the film's makers have revealed a special version of Kya Kamaal Hai that shifts the focus beyond the story on screen to a global humanitarian issue.

Featuring lead actor Diljit Dosanjh, the video is dedicated to refugees around the world who have been forced to leave their homes because of conflict, violence and persecution. The song will play during the end credits of the film when it arrives in cinemas on Friday.
