Third man charged in Southall murder of Sukhjinder Singh

A THIRD person has been charged with the murder of Sukhjinder Singh in Southall on July 30.

Detectives said Ravinder Singh Shergil, 30, of Colville Close, Tipton was arrested last Saturday (26) and charged on the same day with the murder of 33-year-old Sukhjinder Singh also known as Gurinder Singh.


He is set to appear in custody at Hendon Magistrates’ Court today.

Two men have already been charged with Sukhjinder’s murder: Amandeep Sandhu, 29, of Townsend Road, Southall was charged on August 7 while Palwinder Multani, 35, of Tudor Road, Hayes, was charged on October 7. He was also charged with assisting an offender.

They were remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey for trial on January 16, 2017.

INDIA on Thursday (11) demanded an end to US attacks on shipping after three sailors were killed in a strike on a commercial tanker off Oman.

India's foreign ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said US attacks on ships with Indian crews “must cease and end” and called for dialogue to restore peace and stability in the region.
