Tabu to play a special role in Saif Ali Khan’s Jawaani Jaaneman

Tabu is on a roll. The actress is gearing up for the release of De De Pyaar De in which she will be seen sharing screen space with Ajay Devgn, then she has Bharat which will hit the screens on Eid this year, and now, she has been roped in to star in Saif Ali Khan’s Jawaani Jaaneman which marks the debut of Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaia F.

There are reports that Tabu will have an extended cameo in the film, but sources told a daily that it’s a very interesting role and the actress is perfect for it. While talking about it, Jay Shewakramani, one of the producers of the film, said, “It’s too early at this stage to reveal Tabu’s character in the movie. All I can say at this point is that she has an extremely special role. She was always the first choice for Saif, Nitin and me and we are glad she agreed.”


During an interaction with a tabloid, Saif said, "Tabu is a brilliant actor. This part is funny on paper, and I'm pleased that she has agreed to play it as now it will be hysterical."

Jawaani Jaaneman will be directed by Nitin Kakkar.

Warner Bros Discovery has told shareholders to reject Paramount Skydance's $108.4bn (£80.75bn) takeover bid, recommending instead a $72bn (£53.7bn) deal with Netflix for its film and streaming businesses.

The board "unanimously" agreed the Netflix deal was in the firm's best interests, despite Paramount claiming its offer was "superior" to the streaming giant's proposal.
