Sushant Singh Rajput keen to remake Bangalore Days

According to reports, actor Sushant Singh Rajput is planning to remake superhit Malayalam film Bangalore Days (2014) in Hindi. Headlined by Nazriya Nazim, Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy, Isha Talwar and Nithya Menon, the Malayalam movie was directed by Anjali Menon.

Bangalore Days worked really well at the box-office upon its release. Apart from South India, the movie received praises from other corners of the country as well. Now Rajput wants to make it in Hindi. He does not only wish to act in it, but he is also interested in producing it.


"Sushant Singh Rajput has expressed a keen interest in a Malayalam film. He has set up his own production company and has already announced a few projects that will be made under his banner. One of them will be the Hindi remake of Bangalore Days," a source says.

"Sushant liked the film’s concept and how it imparts a message in a subtle way. He wants to play Nivin Pauly’s character because he connected with it. He’s also currently in discussions with producer Vivek Rangachari, who currently has the rights for the Hindi remake. It remains to be seen whether the Raabta actor acquires the rights or co-produces the film with Vivek," adds the source.

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput will next be seen in Abhishek Chaubey’s Son Chiraiya.

The Nick Reiner murder case has entered its first formal stage in court. Two days after Hollywood figures Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner were found dead in their Los Angeles home, their surviving children issued a short statement asking for privacy and space.

Jake and Romy Reiner spoke of “unimaginable pain” and a “devastating loss” following the deaths of the director behind A Few Good Men and his photographer wife. They did not address the allegations against their brother Nick, now facing two counts of first-degree murder. They simply asked for “compassion” and said their parents were not only family but “best friends”.
