Shahid Kapoor in talks for a social-issue driven film, Roshni?

Shahid Kapoor, who is currently busy shooting for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, Padmavati, with Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, has reportedly been approached for a film which will be a social entertainer.

According to reports, Kapoor is in talks with KriArj Entertainment for a movie tentatively titled Roshni. Vipul K Rawal, the screenwriter of Rustom which helped Akshay Kumar win his first National Award, has scripted the movie.

A source revealed to a leading daily, "Prernaa Arora from KriArj Entertainment is likely to produce the film and it’s tentatively called ‘Roshini’. The production house is in talks with Shahid Kapoor. The script has been written by Rustom’s writer Vipul K. Rawal.”

Reports also suggest that Shree Narayan Singh, whose latest directorial Toilet Ek Prem Katha has taken the box office by storm by entering the coveted club of Rs. 100 crores without much efforts, will helm the project.

When asked about the same, Singh said to a leading entertainment website, “Yes, I am in talks with Shahid but not sure for which film. Right now, I am heading out for a break of 10 to 15 days. There is a script called Roshni written by Vipul but not sure that I would be directing it.”

As of now, Shahid has just heard the script. He might sign the project on the dotted lines after wrapping up his work for Padmavati in October.
