Shahid Kapoor inks a three-flick deal with Zee Studios

The stupendous success of Padmaavat (2018) at the box-office has proved quite beneficial for actor Shahid Kapoor. Right after the release of the costume drama, Kapoor bagged Shree Narayan Singh’s next Batti Gul Meter Chalu which is scheduled to release on 24th September, 2018.

The latest we hear that Shahid Kapoor has signed a three-film deal with ZEE Studios. While such deals are quite popular in Bollywood, especially with A-list actors, it will be the first deal for the Haider (2014) actor.

“This deal means that the studio has invested in what it sees to be a potential superstar. The amount paid to the actor will increase as he completes each of the three films. From Shahid’s point of view, it’s a win. He charged Rs. 12 crore for his last film, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, and this three-film deal consolidates his position among the lot of rising superstars including Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan,” a well-placed source reveals.

Well, looks like that after the success of Padmaavat, Shahid has finally arrived. We hope his upcoming projects help him strengthen his position further.
