Shahid in talks with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for a new film

Shahid Kapoor, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu, was spotted with noted filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra a few weeks ago. As soon as the shutterbugs captured them in a frame, the rumour mill went into overdrive suggesting that the duo is teaming up for a new venture.

Looks like rumours might turn out to be true as it has been learnt that Mehra is indeed interested in roping in Kapoor in his sports film, based on Kabaddi.

“Mehra is interested to cast Shahid for a film based on kabaddi and even the actor has liked the script — only he hasn’t signed anything yet. Shahid’s dates are packed as of now but he would do it if things fall into place,” reveals a source.

An official announcement is awaited.
