Satellite rights of Salman Khan’s Race 3 sold for a record

Salman Khan's forthcoming action entertainer Race 3 has started smashing records even before its theatrical release. Reportedly, the Remo D’souza directorial has garnered a record ₹ 130 crore deal for satellite rights.

This amount is the highest a Bollywood film has fetched by selling its satellite rights. Earlier, Aamir Khan’s blockbuster film Dangal (2016) was sold for a humongous ₹ 75 crores, but now its record has been broken by Salman’s Race 3.

By clocking ₹ 130 crores through its satellite rights, Race 3 has recovered its entire production cost. Now whatever the film earns at the box-office after its release, it will be its sheer profit.

The film has been in news ever since it was announced last year. The trailer and songs of the movie have been received well by the audience and hence it is expected to open big at the cash counter.

Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Saqib Saleem, Race 3 is the third instalment of the Race (2008) franchise. Produced by Salman Khan Films and Tips Films, the actioner rolls into cinemas on 15th June, 2018.
