Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar release date to be announced after Mardaani 2 releases

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has been in the pipeline from the past couple of years. The shooting of the film has been already wrapped up, but the movie is yet to see the light of the day.

Recently, during a media interaction when Arjun was asked about the release of Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, the actor stated that YRF is planning to announce the release date after Mardaani 2 releases. Arjun said, “It will release after Panipat. Yash Raj will give you a release date, I think they are waiting for Mardaani 2 to release and then they will announce the release date.”

A few days ago, there were reports that Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar will release on an OTT platform and won’t get a theatrical release. When asked Arjun about it, he quipped, “If you’ve met Adi (Aditya Chopra) and he has told you that then!”

Well, let’s wait and watch whether Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar will get a theatrical release or a digital release. The movie was supposed to release in August last year, but as there was another release of Arjun and Parineeti (Namaste England) in October 2018, YRF had decided to push the release date of their film. But they haven’t announced the official release date yet.

Meanwhile, Arjun is currently busy with the promotions of Panipat which is slated to release on 6th December 2019. The film is based on the Third Battle Of Panipat. It also stars Kriti Sanon, Sanjay Dutt, Mohnish Bahl, Padmini Kolhapure and Zeenat Aman.

Talking about Parineeti, she has some interesting projects like The Girl On The Train remake and Saina, a biopic on Saina Nehwal in her kitty. She was supposed to star in Bhuj: The Pride Of India but opted out of it a few days ago.
