Salman Khan’s first look from Antim unveiled

Murtuza Iqbal

Yesterday, there were reports that Salman Khan has quietly started shooting for Mahesh Manjrekar’s Antim. The film also stars Salman’s brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma in the lead role, and Sharma took to Instagram to unveil Khan’s first look from the movie.

Aayush shared a video, and captioned it as, “Antim Begins .. #BhaisAntimFirstLook #AntimTheFinalTruth @beingsalmankhan.”

Salman plays the role of a Sikh cop in the film, and we must say that the actor is looking dashing with that turban and the beard. The actor had earlier played a Sikh character in 2008 release Heroes.

Antim is a remake of Marathi film Mulshi Pattern, and earlier it was said that Salman’s role in the film is just an extended cameo. However, reportedly, now he plays a parallel lead in the film.

While talking about Salman’s character, a source had told Mumbai Mirror, “Salman plays a no-nonsense Sikh cop who is on a mission to end gang-wars and land mafia in his area of jurisdiction. After wrapping up his action thriller Radhe in October, in which he sports a clean shaven look, he took time off to grow a beard.”

Talking about his other movies, Salman has Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai ready for a release. Reportedly, the movie will hit the big screens on Eid next year. He will also be seen in films like Tiger 3, Pathan (extended cameo), Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, and Kick 2.

Ten years after Brexit, Britain's business leaders want closer EU ties

  • Support for making the EU the UK's top trading priority has risen to 52 per cent.
  • Only 2 per cent of business leaders now want the government to prioritise the US.
  • Nearly two-thirds back closer regulatory alignment with the EU.

Ten years after Britain voted to leave the European Union, a growing number of business leaders appear to be rethinking where the country's economic future lies.

New research from the Institute of Directors (IoD) suggests that UK-EU trade relations have become a higher priority for businesses than at any point since the survey began tracking sentiment. The findings come ahead of a planned UK-EU Summit on July 22 and as the government signals a willingness to pursue closer cooperation with Brussels.
