A SMALL UK power plant was shut down for four days last month in a cyber attack reportedly carried out by hackers affiliated with the Iranian regime.
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) said the incident affected a small-scale generator and did not pose a risk to the wider energy system, The Telegraph reported.

It has contacted power companies to advise them about the risk of cyber attacks.
For security reasons, the government and the National Cyber Security Centre did not identify the site.
