Salman Khan reveals Dabangg 3 to hit screens in 2019

Salman Khan has played various roles in his career spanning across three decades, but the one character that made him everybody’s favourite was the master of quirk and swag, Chulbul Pandey, from the Dabangg franchise.

After playing the much-loved character in Dabangg (2010) and Dabangg 2 (2012), Khan was expected to essay the same role again in Dabangg 3, the third instalment of the series. However, things did not fall into place and the project faced delays on several occasions.


But now Salman Khan has confirmed that Dabangg 3 will hit the silver screen in the year 2019. The superstar made this revelation on the occasion of Dabangg clocking three years on 10th September.

Khan took to his social media platform and revealed, “It’s been 3 years of Dabangg. Thank you for all the appreciation and love from Rajjo and Chulbul Pandey... see you in Dabangg 3 next year.”

Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who played the female lead in Dabangg and Dabangg 2, also shared the news on social media. “Eight years of Dabangg, eight years of Chulbul and Rajjo, eight years of me doing what I love the most! Thank you, Salman, Arbaaz, Abhinav for making me realise my calling… see you in Dabangg 3 next year!” said the actress who debuted in Bollywood with Dabangg.

A script that stood out

Ainy Jaffri steps onto the stage with Rukhsati, drawn in by what she describes as a layered and emotionally rich script. The project, written and directed by Saqib Deshmukh, has already seen earlier runs before moving to Tara Theatre.

Jaffri said the opportunity came through her co-actor Hassan Khan, and the strength of the writing made it an immediate draw, particularly as a two-hander that places sustained focus on performance.
