Rohit Shetty to invest in Marathi Cinema

Reports about filmmaker Rohit Shetty making inroads into Marathi cinema have been doing the rounds in the industry circle for a long time now. But now, if latest reports are to be believed, the Golmaal Again director has finally taken the big step.

According to reports, Shetty is set to bankroll a slice-of-life film called School College Aani Life. Debutant Vihan Suryavanshi has been entrusted with the directorial responsibilities of the movie.

"School College Aani Life will be a light-hearted take on life. Though Rohit is busy with the pre-production of Simmba, he is involved in the scripting of the Marathi film," says a source.

Reportedly, casting for the film is currently underway. School College Aani Life is expected to roll by the month of March. "The team is writing the script's final draft after which the casting will be finalised," adds the source.

Interestingly, Rohit Shetty's frequent collaborator Ajay Devgn has also announced his firth Marathi production a couple of days back. Titled Apla Manus, the film stars veteran actor Nana Patekar in the lead role.
