Rights group urges Bangladesh to end “kneecapping” detainees

Bangladeshi security forces have been accused of targeting members of the opposition

SECURITY forces in Bangladesh are deliberately shooting members and supporters of opposition parties in the leg, Human Rights Watch said in a report on September 29 that compared the acts to “kneecappings” once meted out by the Irish Republican Army.
