Rajkummar Rao and Nushrah Bharucha’s Turram Khan gets a new title

Director Hansal Mehta and actor Rajkummar Rao have worked together in films like Shahid, Aligarh, Citylights, and Omerta. The two last year announced that they are collaborating for the fifth time for a movie titled Turram Khan which will also star Nushrat Bharucha in the lead role.

Well now, the makers have changed the title of the movie and the new title is Chhalaang. Nushrat Bharucha took to Instagram to inform everyone about the new title. She posted, “Same team, same movie, same release date... just a new name- Chhalaang! See you in theatres on 31st Jan, 2020! @chhalaangfilm @rajkummar_rao @hansalmehta @ajaydevgn #LuvRanjan @gargankur82 @bhushankumar #ADFFilms @luv_films @tseries.official.”

Mehta and Rao have delivered some fantastic films, so the expectations with Chhalaang are quite high. Nushrat and Rajkummar have worked together in Love Sex Aur Dhoka but they were not paired opposite each other in the film. It will surely be interesting to watch their fresh pairing on the big screen.

While talking about Rao, Nushrat had earlier stated, "I am really small in terms of the body of work that I have done and the actor I am. I am far away from Rajkummar is. I think his performances reached superlative transformation from who he is to what he's on screen. He's amazing. It's amazing how he can do it so differently and so convincingly, purely. I think these three things are what Rajkummar is and it's a delight to watch an actor in that sort of pure form.”

Chhalaang is slated to release on 31st January 2020. The movie also stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in a pivotal role. The Hansal Mehta directorial will clash with Himesh Reshammiya starrer Happy Hardy and Heer.
