Parineeti Chopra says no to a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film?

Popular Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, whose latest film Golmaal Again has opened to an earth-shattering response at the box office, was recently offered Sanjay Leela Bhansali's forthcoming period drama, Gustaakhiyaan. However, the actress had to turn down the offer due to her chock-a-block schedule.

According to a source, “Pari doesn’t have dates and she was not keen to do the film as well. She is starting Dibakar’s (Banerjee) next in November. Then, she has a month to shoot for Kesari with Akshay Kumar. Post that, she begins work on Namastey Canada with Arjun Kapoor again. Bhansali wants her to begin filming the Sahir Ludhianvi biopic right after Padmavati releases.”

Interestingly, Gustaakhiyaan was earlier offered to her cousin, Priyanka Chopra who too opted out of the project citing date issues. PC is currently shooting for the third instalment of her popular American show, Quantico in America. She has not been seen in any Hindi film after Jai Gangaajal which released in 2015.

With Parineeti too declining the offer, the makers will have to begin their hunt for the leading lady all over again. Gustaakhiyan is based on the love story of renowned poet and novelist Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam.
