Nagarjuna to be seen as an archaeologist in Brahmastra

Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra is one of the most awaited films of 2020. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Shah Rukh Khan (cameo). A few days ago, SRK was spotted with Ayan and Ranbir and it was said that the actor shot for his cameo at a studio in Mumbai.

Now, according to a report in a tabloid, Nagarjuna will be seen playing the character of an archaeologist in the film. The actor has shot for the film in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the Chet Singh Fort and on the banks of Ganga. A source told a tabloid, “Nagarjuna’s character, along with his students, undertakes an expedition to restore an ancient temple along the banks of the Ganga.”

Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Shiva and Alia will be seen as his love interest Isha. A source said, “An important event leads Shiva and Isha to Nagarjuna.”

The South star just didn’t shoot with Alia and Ranbir, but even Mouni Roy will get a chance to share screen space with him. The source stated, “The adventure kicks-off after all of them come face-to-face in Varanasi. A high-octane action sequence featuring them was shot earlier in the year.”

Well, Brahmastra was slated to hit the screens on Christmas this year. But the makers shifted the release date to Summer 2020 stating that the work on the VFX will require more time.

Brahmastra has been in the making for the past couple of years. The release date of the film has been shifted multiple times. Let’s hope that soon the film is complete and we get to see it on the big screen. While the makers have announced that it will release in Summer 2020, they are yet to announce the exact release date.
