My top 10 albums - Htet

My top 10 albums - Htet

Flower Boy by Tyler The Creator: This is probably among my top three favourite albums of all time. It’s just one of those albums where you realise why you love Tyler so much. He’s not only a great rapper but his musicality and music taste are just as amazing. I mean look at all the featured artists. It is just all so magnificent.

Top 10 inset Currents tame impala

Currents by Tame Impala: I watched their live show twice in a year for this album. No explanation is necessary – just listen to it. The Less I Know The Better is obviously my favourite song on the album too.

Plastic Beach by Gorillaz: The Gorillaz in general are one of my favourite bands of all time. I know that their album Demon Days usually overshadow Plastic Beach due to their song Feel Good Inc, which is legendary. However, Melancholy Hill is the best Gorillaz song of all time, and nobody will change my mind. The features on this album are unexpected, yet you’re like, ‘I get it, I get why they’re on this song’.

Top 10 inset Urban Flora Alina baraz 0

Urban Flora by Alina Baraz: Beautiful voice, beautiful album, beautiful lyrics! This album is my go-to when I feel like singing some bangin’ love songs. Alina Baraz is also one of my greatest inspirations for my own music. I would say that our music style is very similar and this is the type of album I would like to make one day.

Top 10 inset 2014 forest Hills drive

2014 Forest Hills Drive by J Cole: Do I even need to explain why this is in my list above any Kanye or Kendrick Lamar albums? This album went platinum with zero features. Kendrick is my favourite rapper of all time but favourite rap album? Cole takes the cake! He’s rapping and singing, and I love that this album shows us his softer side too. If you want to be in the feels about your childhood and what growing up feels like, this is an album for you.

Kids See Ghosts by Kids See Ghosts: Kid Cudi and Kanye coming together to produce this album is one of the best things to happen to hip hop music. It’s passionate and packs a punch.

Side A by Leisure: One of the most underrated bands of all time is Leisure. In

fact, Leisure is my number one favourite band at the moment. Their collective is so talented, and the lead singer’s voice is immaculate. Every single song in this album is sexy. Slipping Away also happened to be my favourite song of 2020, so go check it out.

Top 10 insey Let Go Avril Lavigne Album

Let Go by Avril Lavigne: Every 90s punk rock girl’s dream = this album. She’s got to be one of my favourite vocalists of all time and I will never forget the way this album made me feel when I was young. It’s nostalgic you know!

Ylang Ylang EP by FKJ: I know this is not an album per se, but I think it counts. This EP is my depiction of what falling in love and being in love feels like. The musical journey it takes us through is really emotional. I love that the vocals are also simple in this EP and that the production/instruments are the highlights of each song. Risk featuring Bas is my favourite song on this album.

Parachutes by Coldplay: When I think about favourite albums, I think about which ones I’m able to sing from the first song to the last, and this is one of them. Coldplay is the band that got me into blues-rock type music back in middle school. (Laughs) Also, this is the perfect album to be sad to.

Brad Pitt’s upcoming Formula One film, titled F1, owes much of its realism and racing soul to none other than seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. According to director Joseph Kosinski, the film wouldn’t exist in its current form without Hamilton’s hands-on involvement, from the first pitch to the final details.

Kosinski, best known for Top Gun: Maverick, shared that Hamilton was the first person he contacted when the project was just an idea.
