Mental Hai Kya locks a new release date

The makers of the upcoming Hindi film, Mental Hai Kya, have decided to postpone its release to June. The film was earlier set to enter theatres on March 29, 2019, but now it will hit the marquee on 21st June, 2019.

Starring Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles, Mental Hai Kya has been one of the most talked-about projects lately. It reunites the aforementioned National Film Award-winning actors after a long gap of five years. They were last seen together in Vikas Bahl’s critically acclaimed and commercially successful film, Queen (2014).


Ekta Kapoor, who is producing the movie under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures, took to her Twitter handle to announce its new release date. “Time to go MENTAL! Mental Hai Kya in theatres 21st June 2019,” she wrote, along with sharing the new poster of the film.

Besides Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao, Mental Hai Kya also stars Amyra Dastur and Jimmy Sheirgill in important roles. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is also expected to appear in a special appearance in the movie.

Mental Hai Kya is directed renowned Telugu filmmaker, Prakash Kovelamudi.

Don’t forget to catch it in cinemas on 21st June.

New charges authorised by CPS

Russell Brand has been charged with two further offences, including one count of rape and one count of sexual assault, the Metropolitan Police has confirmed. The additional charges were authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service and relate to allegations made by two separate women.

The broadcaster, comedian and actor had previously pleaded not guilty to five charges involving four women. Those earlier counts include two allegations of rape, two of sexual assault and one of indecent assault.
