Mallika Sherawat ‘punched and tear-gassed in Paris robbery’

BOLLYWOOD actress Mallika Sherawat was tear gassed and beat up by robbers in Paris as she made her way home in the city, days after reality tv star Kim Kardashian was robbed in the French capital reports said today (November 17).

Sherawat, 40, who was accompanied by a male friend, was sprayed with tear gas and punched by gang wearing who hid their faces with scarves, Le Perisien newspaper said. She and her companion suffered


minor injuries.

A criminal investigation is on, the report added.

The attack on Sherawat took place close to where multimillionaire Kardashian, who was in the French capital for Paris Fashion Week, was also targeted. She was locked in a bathroom while five robbers posing as police stole a $4.5 million ring and a case of jewellery valued at $5.6 million.

Fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi's latest attempt to challenge his extradition to India has been delayed until March 2026, with judges expressing a "sense of déjà vu" over his repeatedly failed appeals.

The UK High Court hearing on Tuesday was adjourned after Indian authorities submitted what were described as "chunky assurances" regarding the 54-year-old's pre-trial detention conditions in Mumbai.
