Ishaan Khatter turns down an offer by Mira Nair?

After making his acting debut with Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds (2018) and following it up with an outstanding performance in the Shashank Khaitan-directed Dhadak (2018), Ishaan Khatter has proved it quite well that he is here to stay.

Khatter, the younger brother of superstar Shahid Kapoor, is just two movies old in Bollywood and wants to focus only on films at the moment. Perhaps that is the reason he has said no to internationally acclaimed filmmaker Mira Nair.

Yes, according to reports, Nair had approached Ishaan for her next project, which happens to be a digital series. She even narrated the script to the young actor, but he reportedly turned down the offer.

“Mira and Ishaan had met when she narrated the story to him. The filmmaker wanted him to play the main lead in the project. It wasn’t a feature film but a web series for an international OTT platform,” a source reveals.

“He is two movies old and wants to establish himself in cinema before venturing into the digital space. It’s too early for him to do a web series,” another source adds.

Has Ishaan done the right thing by saying no to Mira Nair? Well, only time will tell.
