Himmanshoo Malhotra joins Sidharth Malhotra’s Sher Shah

Popular actor Himmanshoo Malhotra, who has been a part of several successful shows on Indian television, has been signed on to play a significant character in Dharma Productions’ much-awaited film Sher Shah.

The project, which is being helmed by debutant Vishnu Varadhan, stars Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. The movie is a biopic based on the life of Kargil War martyr Vikram Batra, who lost his life at the age of 24. He was posthumously awarded Param Vir Chakra.


While Sidharth Malhotra plays Vikram Batra, there is no update on the role Himmanshoo Malhotra will be essaying in the movie. Sher Shah also stars Kiara Advani, who is playing Sidharth Malhotra’s love interest.

Himmanshoo announced being a part of the much-awaited movie by sharing a post on Instagram. “Embarking a new journey,” he wrote.

Sher Shah is scheduled to release in 2020.
