Harold Benjamin acquires the London Law Practice

HAROLD BENJAMIN has announced its acquisition of The London Law Practice (TLLP) as on December 31.

TLLP was established in 2011 by Bhavini Kalaria to provide bespoke, cost-effective, legal solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), covering commercial and corporate, commercial property, employment, immigration, commercial litigation, and private client matters.

TLLP has built a strong reputation over the years working for businesses in London and abroad.

With offices in Central London and Harrow, Harold Benjamin is widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading real estate legal practices.

Operating for over 65 years, in the past 10 years the firm has seen even more rapid growth and expansion with key hires in all real estate, business law and private client departments.

Vijay Parikh, Managing Partner, said: “This is an exciting strategic acquisition for our firm. I have known Bhavini for a number of years and watched and admired her grow her own successful legal practice through the TLLP brand. Everyone at Harold Benjamin is delighted that TLLP is joining us.

“Bhavini and her team are a great fit for our firm both culturally and via the alignment of the types of clients we work for. Bhavini personally is a very active rainmaker for her firm, and she will continue in this capacity at Harold Benjamin, along with working as a partner in our Disputes Resolution and Litigation team. She will also support our commercial and corporate department.”

TLLP’s Kalaria said: “Harold Benjamin is recognised as a long-established, award-winning London firm with an excellent reputation for client service and their capability, particularly in the real estate sector.

“At TLLP, we see Harold Benjamin’s acquisition of our firm as a very positive outcome for our clients given the firm’s investment in securing talented individuals, state-of-the-art IT and their robust regulatory, compliance processes.

"I am personally very much looking forward to working with Vijay and his partners to continue to grow the Harold Benjamin brand with the potential of branching out in the sectors TLLP currently now assist clients.”

How John Xavier turned Kerala’s traditional arrack into Manavatty — a rising UK spirits brand

Highlights

  • Manavatty now available in over 250 off-licence shops across the UK and expanding to 20 countries.
  • Brand won bronze at London Spirits Competition 2025 and Spirit Bronze 2025 at International Wine and Spirit Competition.
  • Scottish National Party auctioned signed Manavatty bottles at Edinburgh for party fundraising.
When Scotland's first minister John Swinney signed a bottle of Manavatty at the Scottish National Party convention in Edinburgh on (November 15), it marked an extraordinary milestone for an entrepreneur who had resurrected a spirit banned in his native Indian state.
With Scotland's SNP elections approaching in 2026, the party selected Manavatty for their traditional fundraising auction, a recognition that few immigrant-founded brands achieve.

"It's a tradition for the SNP political party to keep a product at an auction and take the funds for party welfare," explains John Xavier, the man behind this unlikely success story.
