First look of Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi starrer Mimi is super cute

Kriti Sanon and Pankaj Tripathi have worked together in films like Bareilly Ki Barfi and Luka Chuppi. And now, the two talented actors are all set to be back on the big screen for the third time in Dinesh Vijan’s production venture Mimi.

Kriti took to Instagram to announce the movie. She posted, “Life is a journey filled with unexpected miracles. Get ready for a journey like never before, #Mimi !! This one’s gonna be so special.. ?? #DineshVijan @laxman.utekar #PankajTripathi @MaddockFilms @officialjiocinema.”

The first look of the film features a small newborn baby and it is super cute. Mimi is based on Marathi film Mala Aai Vahhaychy which released in 2010. The movie showcased the growing surrogacy practices in India. Mala Aai Vahhaychy was praised by one and all and even won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi.

While talking about the film, producer Dinesh Vijan told a portal, "There's a thrill in telling poignant stories and then there's a thrill in telling ones that are based on true events. Mimi is one such tale. It's a story that struck a chord with me, it explores a beautiful relationship between a woman who never wanted to be a mother and one who can't wait to be one. What's unexpected about the story is the humorous vein that runs through it, and that’s what makes Mimi exciting."

Mimi will be directed by Laxman Utekar who had also directed by Kriti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi. The release date of the film is yet to be announced. Well, Mimi clearly looks like an interesting film and people who have watched Mala Aai Vahhaychy would know what will be the story of the Kriti Sanon starrer.
