Firangi and Tera Intezaar to clash on 1st December 2017

Soon after the makers of Deepika Padukone's Padmavati announced that they voluntarily defer the release of their epic saga from December 1st, many filmmakers sat down to reshuffle the release dates of their respective films.

The latest we hear that the producers of Firangi and Tera Intezaar have decided to fill the slot emptied by the deferment of Padmavati. Yes, both films will now lock horns at the box office on 1st December.


While Firangi stars ace comedian Kapil Sharma opposite Ishita Dutta, Tera Intezaar is headlined by Sunny Leone and Arbaaz Khan. Both films belong to different genres and it will be really interesting to see which one draws more audience to theatres.

Both films were earlier slated to hit screens on 24th November. But as soon as Padmavati was postponed until further notice, the makers of Firangi and Tera Intezaar seized the much suitable date.

With Firangi and Tera Intezaar pushed ahead by one week, erotica  Julie 2 is the only major film to arrive in cinemas this Friday.

A film led by story, not stardom

Mammootty has stressed that Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, is anchored in its narrative rather than its star cast.

Speaking about the espionage thriller, he said the film is driven by its content and plot, adding that it does not follow a set formula but instead aims to establish one. He also pointed to the presence of strong female characters within the story.
