Don 3: From script to shooting schedules, everything you need to know about SRK’s much-awaited film

Shah Rukh Khan made a bad guy look temptingly charming with Don (2006) and its sequel Don 2 (2011). The superstar has amassed a gallery of roles over the years, but there are millions of cinephiles out there who believe that he looked unrivalled in the villainous avatar in the Don series.

After the success of the first two parts, talks about the third instalment of the movie have been on for years now. Producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have time and again said that they will certainly bring Don 3 provided they get an exciting script.

The latest we hear that the script for the third instalment of the series has been locked. If things fall into place, the makers will begin the production as soon as Shah Rukh Khan wraps up his next film Saare Jahan Se Accha.

To be helmed by Mahesh Mathai, Saare Jahan Se Accha is a space odyssey biopic based on the life of astronaut Rakesh Sharma, who became the first Indian man to travel in space. The high-profile movie will be produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and is set to roll in March, 2019.

After SRK finishes Saare Jahan Se Accha towards the end of 2019, he will move on to shoot Don 3. Don 3 will have a completely different storyline and won’t be the continuation of Don 2. The makers are yet to lock shooting schedules and locations of the movie. However, the movie is expected to release in 2020.

The Divine Feminine: Prashasti Singh talks power, pressure, and laughter

Highlights:

  • Prashasti’s comedy comes from real-life stories, not just punchlines.
  • The show explores modern women chasing success but still feeling unfulfilled.
  • She quit a secure corporate job and jumped into comedy.
  • Stand-up made her stop being scared of talking to people.
  • People laugh together at the same everyday problems.

Prashasti Singh started her stand-up terrified of speaking in public. “I was very conscious of my language, my pronunciation, my accent. I thought stand-up wouldn’t be my thing,” she says. But her first open mic changed that. “It felt like I was among a bunch of sisters, a bunch of friends. I just forgot all my nervousness. It came out very naturally.”
