Divya Dutta all set to play a lesbian character in one of her upcoming projects

In her career spanning of 25 years, Divya Dutta has played a variety of roles on the big screen. From Shabbo to Jalebi to Ishri Kaur, the actress has nailed it in every character. We recently met Divya for an interaction and played a rapid-fire round with her. During the rapid fire round, the actress revealed that she will be soon seen playing a lesbian character in one of her upcoming projects.

When asked her that if ever she plays the role of a lesbian whom she would like to romance, to which Divya said, “I am playing. But that will be the director’s choice na.” When probed her is it for a web series or a movie, she said, “I am not talking (laughs). But it is very exciting and I am very excited about it, it’s a beautiful role.” We are sure like other characters of her Divya Dutta will be amazing it in this role as well.


Currently, Divya is busy garnering praises for her performance in the film Music Teacher which was released on Netflix a few weeks ago. She has many interesting films as well as web series in her kitty. We can’t wait to see the actress on the big screen soon.

The theatre was packed for the Third Shanghai–London Screen Industry Forum. Between panels and workshops, filmmakers, producers and executives discussed ideas and business cards and it felt more than just a summit. British-Asian filmmakers were meeting and greeting the Chinese industry in an attempt to explore genuine possibilities of working in China’s film market.
