Celebrations mark Dhruv Chhatralia’s 40th birthday

DHRUV Chhatralia BEM celebrated his 40th birthday on 1 October with a gathering of over 150 notable figures at Mint Leaf Lounge in London. The event drew celebrities, politicians, and community leaders, including MP Bob Blackman, actress Anusha Sareen, and investment banker Ashish Goyal.

The evening featured tributes to Chhatralia, known for his contributions to law and Hinduism. Guests included restaurant owner Yash Hindocha and hotelier Vinu Bhattessa.


The event also provided an opportunity for networking among prominent guests from various fields.

During the celebration, Riddhi Vyas highlighted Chhatralia’s work as a mergers and acquisitions lawyer and his contribution to Hindu spirituality.

Vyas noted that Chhatralia is an author of 21 books on Hinduism and has delivered over 500 hours of talks, with his spiritual teachings reaching audiences in 161 countries.

Ronak Raichura shared that Chhatralia was recognised in the Queen’s 2020 New Year Honours List for his voluntary service to Hinduism. He has spoken on Hinduism at institutions including the British Army, the House of Commons, and various major corporations.

Namrata Brahmbhatt noted that Chhatralia has written the longest English commentaries on the Bhagavad Gita, Hanuman Chalisa, and Shree Suktam, with proceeds from these works going to charity.

Mamta Brahmbhatt discussed his professional achievements, noting his experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions and his recognition by the India Business Law Journal.

Chhatralia's leadership of DWF’s India Group earned the firm a nomination for “Legal Practice of the Year” at the UK-India Awards 2024.

US lawmakers, UN voice concern over lynching of Hindu man in Bangladesh

US LAWMAKERS and the United Nations have expressed concern over violence in Bangladesh following the lynching of a Hindu man, calling for accountability and protection of religious minorities.

Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi condemned the killing of Dipu Chandra Das amid what he described as instability and unrest. “I am appalled by the targeted mob killing of Dipu Chandra Das, a Hindu man in Bangladesh—an act of violence amid a period of dangerous instability and unrest,” Krishnamoorthi said in a statement on Sunday. He said that while authorities have reported arrests, “the Government of Bangladesh must aggressively pursue a full and transparent investigation and prosecute all those responsible to the fullest extent of the law.” He added that urgent action was needed to protect Hindu communities and other religious minorities and to uphold the rule of law.
