Bollywood celebs mourn Irrfan Khan’s demise

Today, we got the sad news of Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan’s demise. The actor was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in 2018 and was being treated for the same. He had gone to London for the treatment but came back to India last year and shot for the film Angrezi Medium.

His demise has surely left the whole Bollywood industry shocked and many celebs took to Twitter to mourn Irrfan’s death.


Amitabh Bachchan, who had worked with Irrfan in Piku, tweeted, "just getting news of the passing of Irfaan Khan .. this is a most disturbing and sad news .. Folded hands An incredible talent .. a gracious colleague .. a prolific contributor to the World of Cinema .. left us too soon .. creating a huge vacuum ..  Prayers and duas.”

Ajay Devgn posted, “Heartbroken to hear about Irrfan’s untimely demise. It’s an irreparable loss for Indian cinema. Deepest condolences to his wife & sons. RIP Irrfan.”

Karan Johar tweeted, “Thank you for those indelible movie memories....thank you for raising the bar as an artist ...thank you for enriching our Cinema....we will miss you terribly Irrfan but will always always be grateful for your presence in our lives.....our cinema....we salute you.”

Parineeti Chopra wrote, “Irrfan sir, you were the nicest, coolest guy. Every interaction with you was so memorable. The world has lost the most talented actor, the nicest human being and a real fighter!! All my love and strength to the family #RIP #IrrfanKhan.”

Taapsee Pannu tweeted, “When we thought nothing could make us feel worse,this happened. I think I will refuse to believe you are no more by watching all your work time n again n again n again. I have known you that way n shall continue to know you that way for ever. You ARE the best we have #IrrfanKhan.”

Sonam Kapoor posted on Instagram, “Rest in peace @irrfan sir. You have no idea what your kindness and encouragement meant to me at my lowest. My condolences to your family and loved ones.”

Akshay Kumar, who had shared screen space with Irrfan Khan in Thank You, tweeted, “Such terrible news...saddened to hear about the demise of #IrrfanKhan, one of the finest actors of our time. May God give strength to his family in this difficult time ??”

A milestone marked with joy

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa welcome their first child, announcing the birth of their baby girl on 15 November — a date that also marks their fourth wedding anniversary. Sharing a joint message, they say they are “over the moon” and call their daughter God’s “greatest blessing.”

The couple had revealed their pregnancy in July through a social media post. They married on 15 November 2021 in an intimate ceremony in Chandigarh, seven years after starring together in Citylights, the film that introduced Patralekhaa to Bollywood.
