Bollywood actors who starred in more than one South Indian remake

Bollywood filmmakers love to remake South Indian films and earn big mullah at the box office. Interestingly, nowadays filmmakers from down South itself have started remaking their movies in Hindi. Well, even Bollywood actors are quite keen on starring in movies that are remakes.

Today, let’s look at the list of actors who have starred in more than one South Indian remake…


Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is one of the biggest superstars of Bollywood. He has starred in many blockbuster movies, and we are sure you will be surprised to know that of his blockbuster movies especially after 2000 were Hindi remake of South Indian films, from Hera Pheri to Rowdy Rathore to Holiday and others. He currently also has two more films that are the remake of South movies, Laxmmi Bomb and Bachchan Pandey.

Ajay Devgn

After Akshay Kumar, it is Ajay Devgn in the list who has also starred in many South remakes. The actor’s movies like Singham, Son Of Sardaar, Singham Returns and Drishyam were the remake of South Indian flicks. Well, Ajay surely is one actor who fits the bill for the remakes.

Salman Khan

2009 release Wanted, gave a boost to Salman Khan’s career and made him the favourite of the masses. But well, Wanted was a remake of South film Pokiri and then Salman opted to star in movie South remakes like Ready and Bodyguard. Salman’s last few films haven’t done that well at the box office; maybe a South remake can once again give a boost to his career.

Tiger Shroff

We are sure you guys would be quite surprised to see Tiger in the list, but not many would know that the actor’s first film Heropanti was a remake of South movie Parugu. Even Baaghi 2 was a remake of Telugu film Kshanam and Baaghi 3 is also said to be a remake of a movie from down South.

Shahid Kapoor

Last we have Shahid in our list. After giving his biggest hit as a solo hero with Kabir Singh, a remake of Telugu movie, Arjun Reddy, Shahid is all set to star in one more South remake. He will be seen in the remake of Jersey in which he will be seen portraying the character of a cricketer.
