Bigg Boss Finale: Dipika Kakar crowned the winner of Season 12

The coveted Bigg Boss trophy has a new owner! Popular television actress Dipika Kakar, who became a household name after playing the character of Simar in Rashmi Sharma Telefilms’ hit series Sasural Simar Ka, has become the winner of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 12, beating out fellow contestant Sreesanth.

The tense live grand finale of the show aired on Sunday night where host Salman Khan announced the name of Dipika Kakar as the winner of the 12th season of Bigg Boss. The winner took home the winning trophy along with a cash prize of ₹ 30 lakhs.

Apart from Dipika and Sreesanth, Karanvir Bohra, Romil Chaudhary and Deepak Thakur also formed the top five list of finalists. Out of the five finalists, Dipika, Deepak and Sreesanth were chosen to be the top three finalists on the show.

Just like all the previous seasons of the show, the top three contestants - Dipika, Sreesanth and Deepak - were given the chance to exit the finale with a chunk of the prize money. Deepak, who hails from the northern state of Bihar, made most of the opportunity and left the show with ₹ 20 lakh in his pocket.

We congratulate Dipika Kakar for winning the latest season of Bigg Boss.

Rotten Tomatoes scores show that some of his most highly regarded work came when he stepped away from the role of the conventional action hero.
