Ali Fazal roped in for Pradeep Sarkar’s next

After the dismal performance of his latest release Helicopter Eela, which is headlined by Kajol, filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar has begun work on his next project which is still untitled.

Though we don’t know much about the project at the moment, we hear the casting process for the same has commenced and Ali Fazal, who was last seen in Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi (2018), has been roped in to play the male lead.

“Ali will play the male lead in what is being touted as a unique love story set in a small town. It is for the first time that we will hear Pradeep Sarkar tell a story from a man’s perspective, and Ali will get to play a powerful character on screen,” a source close to the development reveals.

After locking Ali Fazal for the male lead, the makers are now looking for the female lead. The yet-to-be-titled film is expected to start rolling in the month of November.

Meanwhile, Ali Fazal will next be seen in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s forthcoming film Milan Talkies. He also headlines Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming original series Mirzapur.
