Ali Asgar on rivalry with Kapil Sharma: There is no rivalry and bitterness from my side

Kapil Sharma returns as the host of his new show Family Time with Kapil Sharma. Although, Ali Asgar parted his ways with Kapil, his Twitter post seems that he is still friends with Kapil, he wrote, "Entertainment is back ..all the best Kapil @KapilSharmaK9 May u Rock wit family times.. @SonyTV."

Replying to this, Kapil posted, "Thank u ali bhai .. missing u guys .. it’s the same floor where we used to shoot comedy nights.. I only know how I am shooting without u guys .. love u."

Earlier, in an interview, Ali had said, "Frankly, even now I don’t want to talk about it. It is a family matter for me. Some differences have come between me and Kapil because ‘something’ happened. But he is still very dear to me. I am, I was and I will always be his well wisher and the same is true for Kapil as well. The unfortunate incident was an internal matter and friends and brothers do fight. This does not mean that we have become arch rivals. And if something is not working out today does not mean that we will never work together. You never know about the future. Secondly, I am not a kind of a person who will go out and wash somebody’s dirty linen in public. I am a responsible person who does not like discussing such issues openly and play the blame game."

Talking about whether there is any differences between him and Kapil, he said, " It is only because of creative differences that have been going on for a long time now. I even talked about it repeatedly with the team of the show that Nani's character has no new dimensions and shades to it. But they never responded to it and were not even working towards it. So, when I didn’t get any reply, I took a decision to exit. So, there is no rivalry and bitterness from my side."

Chetan Bhagat says fame in Bollywood can take a serious toll on mental health. The bestselling author, whose novels like 3 Idiots and Kai Po Che! became major films, explained that many actors and directors struggle when their work doesn’t succeed. “There are actors who, when going to a restaurant, if they aren’t recognised, don’t enjoy the meal. They wonder, ‘No one came to click photos?’ Can you imagine what a sick life that is?” he said.

Bhagat added that the pressure of attention and constant public scrutiny can worsen insecurity. He recalled seeing stars fade over time, their mental health affected by the highs and lows of fame.
