Aditya Seal: I believe Karan Johar just promotes talent

Karan Johar’s production venture Student Of The year 2 has hit the screens today and has received mixed reviews. The movie stars Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in the lead roles and Aditya Seal plays the bad boy in the film. We recently met Aditya and spoke to him about his experience of working in the film.

When asked if he ever thought that star kids in the movie were given more importance than him during the shoot, he said, “Not at all, everybody was treated equally including me. The same treatment, same cars, the same place to stay and the same hotels, and I don’t know this nepotism and all of that. I believe Karan (Johar) just promotes talent. Not one person he has given a chance has let him down, be it Varun and Alia who have the filmy background or be it Sid (Malhotra) who doesn’t have it. Tara (Sutaria) is going to prove to everybody that she is been given a chance because she deserves it. I got a chance I don’t have a filmy background. Janhvi and Ishaan are the industry kids, but they have proved themselves.”

Directed by Punit Malhotra, Student Of The Year 2 is a sequel to 2012 release Student Of The Year which starred Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead roles. The film was a hit at the box office.

When AI takes over podcasts human creators are struggling to keep up

AI podcasts flood the internet threatening independent creators and reshaping a $39 billion audio industry

Highlights:

  • AI can make thousands of podcast episodes every week with very few people.
  • Making an AI podcast episode costs almost nothing and can make money fast.
  • Small podcasters cannot get noticed. It is hard for them to earn.
  • Advertisements go to AI shows. Human shows get ignored.
  • Listeners do not mind AI. Some like it.

A company can now publish thousands of podcasts a week with almost no people. That fact alone should wake up anyone who makes money from talking into a mic.

The company now turns out roughly 3,000 episodes a week with a team of eight. Each episode costs about £0.75 (₹88.64) to make. With as few as 20 listens, an episode can cover its cost. That single line explains why the rest of this story is happening.
