Abhishek Bachchan in talks to headline French film Nuit Blanche’s remake

According to reports, producer Shaailesh R Singh, whose credits include Aligarh (2016) and Simran (2017), has purchased the remake rights of the critically acclaimed French film Nuit Blanche (2011), popularly known as Sleepless Night. Buzz also has it that Abhishek Bachchan is in talks to play the male lead in the remake.

Nuit Blanche, directed by French filmmaker Frédéric Jardin, is a crime-thriller which revolves around a detective fighting a war again a drug lord who has kidnapped his son. Junior Bachchan, who has been approached for the lead role, is most likely to sign the project on the dotted line very soon.


Commenting on the same, a source reveals, “Yes, Shailesh Singh has acquired the right of Nuit Blanche. The film is a thriller about a cop who gets caught. It is a fast-paced action thriller and is a perfect fit for a Bollywood actioner.” He goes on to add, “As of now Abhishek Bachchan has been approached for the lead role, as he is perfect for the role.”

The French film boasts of a powerful protagonist as well as an antagonist, so it will be interesting to see who plays the baddie in the Hindi remake of the film.

An official announcement is awaited.
