A biography on Priyanka Chopra hits stands

Priyanka Chopra is one of the best examples of a Bollywood actress who has successfully transitioned into Hollywood, and her journey from a middle-class family in India to the hearts of millions of people has been documented in a new book titled Priyanka Chopra: The Incredible Story of A Global Bollywood Star.

The book is penned by Aseem Chhabra, known for authoring the biography of Shashi Kapoor, and it has detailed accounts of what other Bollywood personalities, such as directors Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Basu, Prakash Jha and actress Dia Mirza have to say about the actress.

Chopra has not collaborated with Chhabra for the book as she herself is in the process of essaying her memoir titled Unfinished.

In June, Chopra revealed that her biography would give her fans a ringside view of her life and her thought process.

“I’ve always wanted to write a book, but the timing never felt right,” Priyanka said in an Instagram post. “With each opportunity that presented itself, my first instinct was always to wait...because I wasn’t (and I’m still not) finished. I wanted to do more, live more, and achieve more, before putting pen to paper and exposing things I’ve always kept private to the world.

“But looking back on my life as a public person, I’m super proud of what I’ve done and where my life is right now. I’ve realized you don’t have to be finished to tell your story, and that sometimes life’s greatest lessons are taught along the ride...when you’re still figuring things out...when you’re #unfinished.”

These days, Chopra has a lot going for her. Her love life has been on an upswing ever since she met Nick Jonas at last year’s Met Gala and the duo is reportedly all set to walk down the aisle in the near future.

“Nick has been obsessed with Priyanka since they started dating," a source explained to People. "He obviously thinks she’s beautiful, but he’s also drawn to her intelligence. She has this charisma and energy that draws you to her, and she’s fit in so well with his friends and family.”
