Zoya Akhtar confirms season 2 of Made In Heaven

2019 has turned out to be an amazing year for Hindi filmmaker Zoya Akhtar. She began the year by receiving overwhelming response for her directorial venture Gully Boy (2019) and followed it up with the thunderous success of Prime Video original Made In Heaven, which shattered several records of online viewing across the globe.

After the riotous success of Made In Heaven, Zoya has confirmed that Amazon Video has commissioned the hit series for a second season. Yes, you heard that right! The filmmaker has already started working on Made In Heaven Season 2.


Set in Delhi, the nine-episode series revolves around two wedding planners, Taran and Karan. Akhtar took to her Twitter handle to announce that she and her team have started working on the second season of the series.

Actor Arjun Mathur, who plays wedding planner Karan on the show and garnered loads of praises for his terrific performance, shared the post, with the caption, “In case you were wondering about the 2nd season.”

Made In Heaven, which premiered on 8th March, starred Arjun Mathur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi in lead roles. It is going to be interesting to see who all will be retained for the second season of the series.
