Vikrant Massey to topline ALTBalaji’s digital-series, Broken

According to sources, Ekta Kapoor has roped in popular film and television actor Vikrant Massey for one of her forthcoming digital ventures called Broken.

Though not much is known about the theme of the series, it is said to be a sensitive love story between a man and woman who have just gone through the unbearable pain of loosing someone very special in their respective lives.

While Vikrant has almost signed the project, the makers are now looking for a talented girl opposite him. "Vikrant Massey fits the bill perfectly to play the guy in pain. The search for the girl opposite him is presently on,” reveals a source.

Digital platform is not new to Massey. Aside from doing some popular shows like Baba Aiso Varr Dhundo, Balika Vadhu and Qubool Hai and starring in successful films like Dil Dhadkne Do, A Death in the Gunj, Half Girlfriend and Lipstick Under My Burkha, he has been part of web-show Rise.

We will bring other important details about the series soon.

Subscription businesses sold consumers a simple idea for years. Paying £9.99 every month felt easier than paying £300 upfront. But the model that once looked unstoppable is entering a difficult phase as inflation, price fatigue and changing consumer behaviour collide. Around 47% of consumers cancelled at least one subscription this year, according to recent subscription industry surveys, while companies are increasingly shifting focus from rapid growth to customer retention.
