Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani start shooting for Dharma Productions’ Mr Lele

Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani start shooting for Dharma Productions’ Mr Lele

By: Mohnish Singh

According to reports, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani have started shooting for Dharma Productions’ next Mr Lele. The film hit the shooting floor last week in Mumbai.

Shashank Khaitan, who has previously helmed such successful films as Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), and Dhadak (2018) for Dharma Productions, is directing his fourth film under Karan Johar’s banner.

A source informs a publication, “Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal started shooting for the film last week in Mumbai. For now, they will be filming in the city and will then move to other locations depending on the Covid situation there.”

Mr Lele was originally planned with Bollywood star Varun Dhawan. Producer Karan Johar had even announced the project officially on Twitter by sharing the first-look poster featuring the actor. But later, the news emerged that Dhawan walked out of the film citing creative differences.

However, Shashank Khaitan had something else to say about the film getting shelved. “We were not able to form a flow for the shoot. It was a small film that was to be based in Mumbai, but things were not falling in place. I kept feeling that something is not right. Since Karan, Varun and I collectively felt it, we decided to hold off the project for the time being,” he had said.

He then took the film to Vicky Kaushal who readily agreed to come onboard. The film will reunite Kaushal with Kiara Advani after a gap of three years. The duo was last seen together sharing the screen space in Netflix’s anthology film Lust Stories.

Mr Lele also features Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role. The actress will reteam with Vicky Kaushal after Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship (2020), produced by Dharma Productions.

She described the emphasis on the navel as a "real thing" in the industry, which was completely new to her.

Kristen Stewart marries Dylan Meyer in an intimate LA ceremony after 6-year romance

Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer are officially married. The actor and the screenwriter tied the knot over the weekend in a low-key ceremony at their Los Angeles home, with only a handful of close friends present. Among the guests were actor Ashley Benson and her husband, Brandon Davis. The couple had reportedly picked up their marriage license earlier in the week.

The marriage comes nearly six years after Stewart and Meyer reconnected in 2019 at a friend’s birthday party, years after first crossing paths on a film set. They went public with their relationship that same year, and in 2021, Stewart revealed during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show that Meyer had been the one to propose.

Charli XCX’s viral ‘Apple’ dance sparks lawsuit as creator sues Roblox over unauthorised use

Kelley Heyer, the choreographer behind the viral dance to Charli XCX’s track “Apple,” is suing Roblox for allegedly using her routine in a game without her approval. The dance, which gained massive attention on TikTok and even featured at Charli XCX’s concerts and Coachella performances, became available as a purchasable emote on the Roblox game Dress to Impress. Players could buy the move for their avatars, and Heyer’s legal team says the company made around £98,000 (₹1.03 crore) from it.

Heyer claims she was in talks with Roblox to license the dance but that the company used it before anything was formally agreed upon. Now, she’s asking for a share of the profits and damages for what she sees as misuse of her work.
