Sidharth talks about his next, a biopic on Vikram Batra

After the great success of Ittefaq, Sidharth Malhotra was quite confident about his next film, Aiyaary. However, despite being promoted on a huge scale and noted filmmaker Neeraj Pandey calling the shots, nothing could help the espionage thriller from falling flat at the box office.

Fresh from the failure of Aiyaary, Malhotra is now gearing up to begin work on his next project which is a biopic on Kargil martyr Vikram Batra. While the actor is thrilled to portray such a powerful character on the silver screen, he is quite nervous also.

Talking about the film and why it is taking so much of time in mounting the shooting floor, Sidharth says, "Movies have a great impact, they live for long. There is a pressure of living up to the idea of what their son has done. That is why we are taking more time to start the film. We want to work properly on the story. It is not a fictitious story that I want to jump into it. I hope whenever the film comes out, the family is happy and proud."

This will be the first time when Sidharth headlines a biopic. The actor has already started preparing for his role in the movie.
