Sanjay Dutt to go bald for the second schedule of Panipat

Superstar Sanjay Dutt has a number of interesting projects in his pocket at the moment. He is presently shooting for many films at the same time and in a couple of days, the actor will begin shooting for the second schedule of his much-awaited film Panipat.

But before the actor starts the shoot for the big-ticket movie, he will go bald to get into the skin of his character. The film’s main lead Arjun Kapoor had also shaved off his head before he began shooting for his character Sadashiv Rao in the period drama.


According to a report published by a leading Indian daily, Sanjay Dutt will soon fly off to the city of Jaipur (Rajasthan) to start the second schedule of the movie. The second schedule is expected to be finished at the end of March.

Panipat is a war movie which tells the story behind the third battle of Panipat, which was fought between the Maratha empire and the King of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Abdali. It is being directed by well-known filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker who has a knack for helming historical dramas.

Besides Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Kapoor, the high-profile movie also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role. Seasoned actors Padmini Kolhapure and Mohnish Bahl have also been signed on to play important roles in the flick.

Renowned composer duo Ajay-Atul is composing the music for the movie, while the songs will be written by famous screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar.

Produced by Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar, Panipat is scheduled to release on 6th December, 2019.

The theatre was packed for the Third Shanghai–London Screen Industry Forum. Between panels and workshops, filmmakers, producers and executives discussed ideas and business cards and it felt more than just a summit. British-Asian filmmakers were meeting and greeting the Chinese industry in an attempt to explore genuine possibilities of working in China’s film market.
