Sanjay Dutt requests makers to launch his biopic's trailer on 8th May

According to reports, superstar Sanjay Dutt has requested the makers of his upcoming biopic, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, to release its trailer on 8th May 2018. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the biopic is one of the most awaited films of 2018 and has been in the making for quite a long time.

Reportedly, Dutt wants the makers to unveil the trailer on 8th May because on the same date in 1981 his debut film Rocky hit the silver screen. Directed by his late father Sunil Dutt, the film released just five days after the death of his mother, Nargis.


Besides Ranbir Kapoor, the Sanjay Dutt biopic also stars Manisha Koirala and Paresh Rawal who play his parents. Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Karishma Tanna, Vicky Kaushal and Jim Sarbh also play pivotal roles in the movie.

Produced by Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Fox Star Studios, the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 29 June.

Ranveer Singh may lead Bollywood’s next mythology franchise

Ranveer Singh could soon trade crime dramas and larger-than-life antiheroes for ancient mythology, with reports claiming the actor is spearheading a film adaptation of Amish Tripathi’s bestselling Shiva Trilogy.

According to Pinkvilla, Ranveer has acquired the rights to The Immortals of Meluha under his production banner Maa Kasam Film and is developing the project with Birla Studios. The adaptation is reportedly envisioned as a three-film franchise, placing the actor at the centre of one of India’s most commercially successful literary universes.
