Sanjay Dutt requests makers to launch his biopic's trailer on 8th May

According to reports, superstar Sanjay Dutt has requested the makers of his upcoming biopic, which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, to release its trailer on 8th May 2018. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the biopic is one of the most awaited films of 2018 and has been in the making for quite a long time.

Reportedly, Dutt wants the makers to unveil the trailer on 8th May because on the same date in 1981 his debut film Rocky hit the silver screen. Directed by his late father Sunil Dutt, the film released just five days after the death of his mother, Nargis.

Besides Ranbir Kapoor, the Sanjay Dutt biopic also stars Manisha Koirala and Paresh Rawal who play his parents. Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Karishma Tanna, Vicky Kaushal and Jim Sarbh also play pivotal roles in the movie.

Produced by Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Fox Star Studios, the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 29 June.
