It seems actor Sanjay Dutt has decided to make up for the time he stayed away from films due to her imprisonment because, since the time he came out of prison, he has been signing one film after the other.
As we all know that the actor has just wrapped up the shoot of his comeback film Bhoomi and now the news is coming in that he has also confirmed to do a new film that will be the Hindi remake of a critically successful Telugu thriller Prasthanam. The film might go on floors in March next year.
Dutt said, "I am going to do a remake of Telugu film Prasthanam from March 2018. The original film was directed by Deva Katta and he will be directing the Hindi remake also." Prasthanam is a family drama film, which also sheds light on political corruption.
If reports are true, the actor is not just acting in the movie, he is also planning to bankroll the project. But before that, the actor will first complete the shooting of his next film Torbaaz before taking the Prasthanam remake on floors. Besides that, he is also doing Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and may also star in the third instalment of his blockbuster film franchise, Munna Bhai MBBS.
Prasthanam did not fare as per expectations at the box office, but the movie garnered unprecedented critical acclaim for a Telugu movie. It also took home three Filmfare awards. We just hope that with Sanjay Dutt at the helm of affairs, the Hindi remake performs well at the box office.
