Salman Khan: Inshallah will be made but at least not with me

Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt were all set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah. Alia had reportedly also started shooting for the film. But, Salman opted to not to star in the movie and took to Twitter announce that Inshallah has been postponed and he will release another film on Eid 2020.

After this tweet of Salman, there have been several reports about Inshallah. While some reports suggested that the film has been shelved, some stated that it will be made with another actor. A few days ago, it was also said that Salman has been replaced by Hrithik Roshan in Inshallah. However, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has not officially announced anything.

Recently, at International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), Salman spoke to media about Inshallah and stated, "Currently, Inshallah is not being made. Inshallah will be made but at least not with me."

Well, Salman opted out of Inshallah but looks like that has not affected his and Alia Bhatt’s rapport. The two actors were spotted sitting next to each other at the award function and looked quite comfortable in each other’s company. The girl sitting next to Alia Bhatt in the above picture is Saiee Manjrekar who is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Salman in Dabangg 3.

While talking about Saiee accompanying him at IIFA, Salman said, "It's so strange that long time back, Sonakshi Sinha was also introduced on the ramp at IIFA and now this is her turn.”

Dabangg 3 also stars Sonakshi Sinha and it will be hitting the screens on 20th December 2019. The fans of Salman are eagerly waiting for the film as they are keen to watch him on the big screen as Chulbul Pandey. We have always loved Salman and Sonakshi’s chemistry on the big screen, now we wait to watch Salman and Saiee’s chemistry on the silver screen.

Yash says Ravana in Ramayana must connect with Western viewers as film eyes global audience

Highlights

  • Yash says he humanised Ravana to help global audiences relate to the character.
  • Asura designs in the first glimpse drew criticism for looking too Western-inspired.
  • Producer Namit Malhotra compares the film's tone to Lord of the Rings and Gladiator.
Yash, who plays the demon king Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, says his portrayal was shaped by one clear goal: making the character relatable beyond Indian audiences.
Speaking at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week, where the film was presented alongside major Hollywood releases, the actor said he worked to strip away the purely mythological reading of the role.

"I have tried to internalise the whole essence of Ravana and tried to make him as human as possible at times," Yash told Reuters.

"It is important for people to relate to him, and since we have global ambitions, we need to make it familiar to a Western audience as well."
