Recreated version of Masakali in Sidharth Malhotra’s Marjaavaan?

Though Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor starrer Delhi 6 failed to make a mark at the box office, the songs of the film are still loved by the audiences, especially the track Masakali. Delhi 6 released in 2009 and now, reportedly after 10 years, the song Masakali will be recreated for Sidharth Malhotra’s Marjaavaan.

A source told an entertainment portal, "The makers have plans to use Masakali for Marjaavaan. The original featured Sonam K Ahuja and Abhishek Bachchan and T-Series holds rights to the song. When the producers were scouting for a similar track and melody, they got the idea of using the Delhi 6 number. It's yet again a soft, romantic number that will feature Sid and one of the girls. It's yet to be shot."

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Marjaavaan also stars Tara Sutaria, Rakul Preet Singh and Riteish Deshmukh. Zaveri’s last directorial, Satyameva Jayate had the recreated version of Dilbar and Nora Fatehi had shown off her amazing dance moves in the song. The track had become a rage and got some amazing views on YouTube. Well, if these reports of Masakali recreated version turns out to be true then we are surely expecting it to be as good as Dilbar.

The original song was composed by AR Rahman and sung by Mohit Chauhan. Let’s watch and watch who will compose and sing the recreated version.

It was just a few days ago when the makers of the film announced that they have roped in Nushrat Bharucha for a special number in which she will be seen shaking a leg with Sidharth Malhotra. Looks like songs will be one of the highlights of Marjaavaan.

The movie is slated to release on 2nd October 2019. It will be clashing with YRF’s untitled next starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor.
