R Madhavan bows out of the film with Saif Ali Khan

Fans were supremely excited when the story came out in the news that Saif Ali Khan and R Madhavan were set to team up again after Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, a film which hit the silver screen almost seventeen years ago and attained cult status over the years.

Both stars had joined hands together for Navdeep Singh’s untitled historical film, to be produced by Aanand L Rai under Colour Yellow Productions. But the latest we hear that Madhavan has opted out of the project as he is recuperating from shoulder surgery.

A report in a popular Indian daily says that the actor had to leave the project because of his shoulder injury, which he contracted at the gym. The actor was operated on last week. Madhavan confirmed, saying, "I am injured badly and out of any film shoot for the next two months. Right now I’m just taking total rest.”

Meanwhile, Madhavan is winning raves for his intense performance in Amazon Prime's Breathe.
