Priyanka Chopra's mother responds to rumours actress is set to wed Nick Jonas

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' relationship seems to be getting serious, and rumours swirling around suggest that marriage is on the cards.

Recently, a journalist quizzed Priyanka's mother about the actress' marriage plans and Madhu counter-questioned him, saying, "'Are you serious?' If you are, then we'll also get serious about it."

After months of staying mum, Priyanka opened up about her rumoured romance with the singer, admitting to People that she was in the process of getting to know him. “We’re getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him,” she said when quizzed about the duo's recent trip to India, where Nick met Priyanka's family and friends.

Priyanka and Nick met during the 2017 Met Gala, and it wasn’t long before people started speculating they were an item. During Priyanka’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s chat show she was asked point blank if there was something going on between her and Nick. But at the time Priyanka laughed it off.

When asked about going to the event together, Priyanka said: “Yeah, we were on the same table and we already know each other. So he was like ‘Hey, you wanna go together?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, OK, let’s go together.’ It ended up working out.”

Rumours of romance reignited this year after the duo spent the Memorial Day weekend with each other. They were spotted attending the Beauty and the Beast Live concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, May 25.

“The two were seen heading to the concessions stand during intermission before returning to their seats to finish taking in the show,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly. “They snuck out right as the show was ending.”

The couple was also spotted at a a Los Angeles Dodgers game. “Priyanka and Nick were talking really closely and were very smiley and very happy,” an onlooker told Us. “They weren’t trying to be private as they were in a pretty public place, but they were talking to people around them, sitting closely and they both just seemed super happy.”

On the work front, Priyanka is gearing up for the filming of Salman Khan's Bharat and Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink along with Farhan Akhtar.
