New Stall ‘Masala Hut’ In Cardiff Market To Serve Indian Street Food

A new food stall in Cardiff Central Market will start serving customers with Indian street food. The stall, Masala Hut, specialised in Indian street food is scheduled to open on Tuesday (18).

Imran Khan, the proprietor of the stall has travelled extensively in India to reach its each and every corner. He decided to set up the stall to showcase and serve great Indian street foods he found during his travel.


The 32 year old owner of the stall has been in food industry for more than a decade and has extensive knowledge in cooking after his long travels in India. As part of his passion to introduce new taste in the UK, he decided to start a stall here.

Masala Hut is scheduled to function from 10am to 16.30pm. The stall has planned to serve wide range of freshly cooked Indian cuisine, such as, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and others.

The owner of the stall also has a vape shop on Woodville road. He assures that the customers can expect good, fresh, and unique flavours brought from streets of India.

Khan has owned Cafe Aroma for over a decade. He sold that business and started an vape shop. Now, his Masala Hut is ready to serve rice for £4.95, including a tarka daal, moong daal, and Mumbai delight (a Mumbai-inspired vegetable curry).

The customers can also taste Indian street food items such as samosa, pakora, and vegetable fritters, which range from £1.10 to £5.

Cardiff Market is already a home to coffee connoisseurs Hard Lines, vegan stall Milgi, cheese pantry, Scotch egg specialists Holy Yollks, and others.
