Meghan Markle's friend opens up about bride-to-be's maternal side

Meghan Markle is going to make a wonderful mother as the American actress is a natural with children, believes a friend of the bride-to-be.

Lara Dewar, who is head of global communications with World Vision, spent time with Markle during a 2017 trip to India, and she said Markle naturally gravitated towards children.

Recalling a visit to a slum area to watch a girls' self-defence class, Dewar said Markle was surrounded by children. "By the end of the demonstration, Meghan had one on her lap, and was playing with another. She is just very approachable and warm," she said. "She was very happy to sit in the midst of the children and play and demonstrate affection towards them, it was really lovely to see."

Both Harry and Markle have often expressed their fondness for children, and during their engagement interview the couple said they were keen to start a family "in the near future." Markle reportedly wants Harry to cut down on his alcohol consumption and smoking ahead of trying for a baby.

"One of the reasons she got him to quit smoking is because smoking affects sperm production," a source told the New York Daily News. "It’s no secret among friends that they want to start a family immediately."

Harry and Markle are set to walk down the aisle at St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Saturday. There is still no clarity on who will walk Markle down the aisle, as her father won’t be attending the wedding due to a heart surgery.

Thomas blames his son for triggering his heart attack.

Thomas Jr recently wrote an open letter urging Harry not to marry Meghan.

“As more time passes to your royal wedding, it became very clear that this is the biggest mistake in royal wedding history,” Thomas Jr warned. “Meghan Markle is obviously not the right woman for you.” he also adds that she is a “jaded, shallow, conceited woman that will make a joke of you and the royal family heritage.”
