Malaika Arora feels it is still a taboo in India if a woman takes a second chance in love

Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan got married in the year 1998 and it was in 2017 when the actors got divorced. After a few months, it was reported that Arjun Kapoor and Malaika are in a relationship. The reports turned out to be true, and Arjun and Malaika both have openly spoken up about their relationship.

Recently, while talking to a news agency Malaika stated that in India if a woman takes a second chance in love, it is still a taboo. The actress further said, "It is a taboo is because there are a lot of situations and issues that need to be tackled in our country, though I think the issue needs to be looked at with an open mind.”

"A little more sensitivity (is needed), as opposed to being harsh and callous and negative towards things. I think it is important to be inclusive. When I talk of second chances, I'm thinking of making the most of second chances. I think everybody should be given a second chance," she added.

When asked if she feels that she is always under the scanner because she is a public figure, the actress said, "It is part of being in the public eye, of being in this business. I think the sooner you make peace with it, the better things works out for you. Also, I feel we are all quite comfortable with it right now.”

There were reports that Arjun and Malaika will be tying the knot this year. But a few days ago, Arjun while speaking to a magazine had stated, "I am not getting married. Malaika and I have to still discover each other in public space and enjoy the comfort of being a couple. We need to ease. We need to take our mind off this pressure of getting married. Sometimes you just need to be in a relationship. You need to live it; you need to enjoy it for what it is, rather than what it should be according to people. We are at ease with each other."
